When I first moved to Seattle at the end of 2017, I started working with Microsoft as a visual and production designer on the World Wide Retail Channel & Device Marketing team (WWRCM). This was an e-commerce and visual merchandising designer role, where my team and I concentrated on executing designed experiences for the latest games, movies, television, books, music, and devices while ensuring high production quality but mainly focusing on Xbox, Commercial, Windows, and Surface products.
My responsibilities were typically spent updating and creating content for the Xbox and Surface team, which meant I developed and maintained files such as banners, posters, shelf talkers, Slip Inserts, and card assortments for the Visual Merchandising tasks - and Online tasks included creating and updating digital banners, Landing Pages and PDP material.
This particular project was for creating Visual Merchandising on behalf of Microsoft's MICA/Minecraft Xbox Campaign.
Responsibilities of this task were to create templates and import the new MICA key image assets such as posters, shelf-talkers, OWP Slip Inserts, Table Tents, Wobblers, and card assortments.
All files were created and mocked up in Photoshop and Illustrator, then exported to InDesign for final Deck approval.
